For our debue in Toronto, my home town, we brought together nearly 50 excited and engaged nonprofit professionals to learn about best practices in communications, marketing and technology. We were hosted by the very awesome and creative team at Freshbooks, an online billing site which I have been using for years and highly recommend you try – it’s free to start, so go nuts
Our speakers were a diverse group of experts, highlighted by the funny and talented Heather Gold, who talked to the group about authentic conversations.
The morning kicked of with my introduction to the Future of Jewish Nonprofit series, innovation and startup culture.
We then enjoyed hearing about engaging your audience from the “social media” panel which was moderated by Saul Colt (Freshbooks) with William Daroff (JFNA), Erin Bury (Sprouter) and Jeremy Otto (UJA Toronto).
We learned all about Augmented Reality from Mathijs Gajentaan of Winvolve who showed off some pretty amazing uses of this technology.
We spent some time schmoozing – and eating – what’s a Jewish event without that? Then moved onto our final panel on Innovation. This session was moderated Robin Gofine (UJA Toronto) with Risa Alyson Cooper (Shoresh), David Goodman (Community Connect) and Rabbi Aaron Levy (Makom). Video will be published shortly here.
I hope you will join us at the next FOJNP in Chicago on July 11. Sign up now and save $50! .
